Last night when speaking with a group of christians as they were trying to evangelize me one of the things said was that as long as there is God and religion there will be war, if not for any other reason than because God states in the Bible that there will always be holy wars(that is, until the 1000 years of peace). He also said that all wars are holy wars.
Well heres a thought I had today. I’m without religion, agnostic would be the closest thing. All of the most passive and intelligent people I have met thus far in my life and that I continue to meet are primarily NOT religious. Often agnostic or atheist. Most of the world’s intelligent people are and have been as well.
So would someone like to explain to me why having God in our society is good when a Godless one could theoretically be one of peace(speaking on a macro level)?
