How to Read Like a Writer

This is something that I’ve thought much about. I used to read very slowly and rarely and though I thought it was primarily something I needed to improve with I always had this little appreciation for how it felt to absorb a book at such a rate. Now I read entire books in a day and it feels at times that something is lost that way.
